Creature’s Frolic
This diagrams depicted how a Geozzler’s Creature moves around the gameboard from Start to End. A colored circle represents the location where they are when the round starts.
MOVE’s are labeled by a number representing how many puzzle pieces a Creature will MOVE.
JUMP’s are shown with solid lines and arrows pointing to the new puzzle piece the Creature will land after they JUMP.
RELOCATE’s are shown with dashed lines and arrows pointing to the new puzzle piece the Creature will land after they RELOCATE.
The Puzzle Pattern Phase consists of Geozzler’s placing their geometric puzzle pieces on the gameboard from a ’Start’ piece to and ’End’ piece creating a pattern that will utilized in the Creature’s Frolic Phase. When no more pieces can be placed, Geozzlers count the points of their puzzle pieces not on the gameboard and record their score.
Creature’s Frolic Phase begins by Geozzler’s using movable Creatures to migrate around the Puzzle Pattern from the ‘Start’ to the ‘End’ puzzle pieces. Creature’s either MOVE contiguously from piece to piece or JUMP from Piece to Piece by color or RELOCATE depending on the roll of the dice. In the order a Geozzler’s Creature lands on the ‘End’ piece, they deduct points from the Puzzle Pattern Phase’s score. The Geozzler with the lowest score of the two phases WINS the game.
Play begins by Geozzler’s rolling the dice and them migrating around the puzzle pattern based on what is rolled.
MOVE: When a number is rolled, a Creature migrates contiguously by moving OFF of one center spot of a puzzle piece only through an arrowhead as long as it connects to an arrowfeather.
They then move ON an adjacent contiguous puzzle piece.
This counts as 1 move.
The Creature has to move the entire numbered rolled. It they cannot, they then JUMP to a new puzzle piece.
JUMP: When the Creature can not move contiguously, they JUMP to the nearest puzzle piece based on the color rolled, If challenged on which colored puzzle pieces is the nearest, the distances are measured with the Swing Arm Compass. The rod of the compass is placed on the center of the Creature’ current puzzle piece.
The arm is swung around to measure to the nearest colored puzzle piece.
RELOCATE: When a letter is rolled, the Creature takes the action described above.
